Snowflake has revealed plans to acquire Crunchy Data, a company offering trusted open source Postgres technology and products, to bring its artificial intelligence-ready Snowflake Postgres to developers. The AI Data Cloud company said Monday its planned acquisition of Crunchy Data, announced at the Snowflake Summit 2025, will integrate the enterprise-grade PostgreSQL database into the AI Data Cloud.
